Firelands Workers United

Firelands builds multiracial working-class power in rural timber counties in WA State to campaign for a good life for rural working people—we fight for good jobs caring for our land, waters, and communities, child care, health care and affordable, healthy homes. Our work is centered in Grays Harbor and Pacific counties in rural SW Washington, a region of immense natural beauty and extensive natural resources, with a robust history of worker organizing. For decades, our region has been starved of resources to feed Wall Street investors and landholders, creating high poverty rates, a shortage of living-wage jobs and a lack of affordable housing. Our livelihoods, lands, and waters are at risk, but we are uniting to build a different future for all of us who call this place home. Fireland's team is dedicated, collaborative, and multilingual. We see hope as a disciplined practice and joy as essential. We work hard AND we practice rest and resilience to support individual and organizational health.
